Hi! I’m Megan.

You wouldn’t have to spend much time with me to learn that I’m a southern girl, born and raised. Although I can’t hear it myself, I’ve been told that I have an accent that gives it away.

I am a believer in Christ. He is my Lord and Savior and without Him, my life is nothing.

My best friend also happens to be my husband. We’ve been together going on 8 years now, and have been married for 6.5 years. People always say that the first year or two of marriage is the hardest, but I never understand that. Don’t get me wrong, marriage definitely takes work, but Nathan and I have never had a bad year. Everyday with him is an adventure and I wouldn’t change a minute of it.

Two years ago we embarked on the journey of parenthood by welcoming identical twin boys into our lives and we have been going non stop ever since. They bring so much joy to us. They keep life interesting and unpredictable!

In all my down time (Ha!) I like to go junkin’. What does this mean exactly? Basically I like finding old junk at estate sales, auctions, yard sales, the side of the road, you name it and then re-purpose it and bring it back to life. Our home is filled with unique treasures that all have a special story. If you come over for sweet tea sometime and have a while, I’ll tell you the story for each and every piece.

I also LOVE decorating. Like interior decorating. I have a side business named Hartman Interiors where I do just that. I decorate, design, and stage homes for people. It’s my favorite!! My husband and I also flip homes and this gives me another venue to let my design ideas come to life.

As a career I am a respiratory therapist, but ever since I had the boys it’s not a full time job anymore. My full time title is “Mommy” and there isn’t anything better. I’m able to squeeze about 10-12 hours a week or so in at the hospital and the rest of my time I am privileged to spend raising my sweet boys.

Come, follow along on my blog and I’ll be sharing stories from motherhood, recipes, home decorating DIY projects, stories from our flip houses and whatever else hits me at the time! Thanks for stopping by!
