Flip Update: Bathroom Renovation

Our flip house is almost ready to go on the market. We are nearly completely done with the inside with only a few minor things to wrap up. We have some outdoor and landscaping things left to do, but then it will be ready to be listed for sale! Whoo Hoo!!

I decided to do a small blog post with before and after pictures of individual rooms/areas of this house rather than one long post. So this is post #1: the main bathroom.

Let’s take a walk down memory lane…this bathroom was hideous! Like, super hideous. It had dark brown tile surrounding the tub and pink tile on the walls. The flooring was a coordinating brown/tan color vinyl. The fixtures, vanity, etc were very, very old and ugly too. Here are the before pictures.

My plan for this space was a serene, spa like retreat. My color palette was neutral grays and greens with white accents. We kept the original layout the same, and just changed all of the contents. I picked Sherwin William’s Sea Salt for the walls and it was an excellent choice. It’s almost like a gray/green/blue color, but light enough that it still looks like a neutral. The flooring I picked is this beautiful, hard wood looking gray tile. The shower is surrounded in white subway tiles with a stripe and soapbox done in gray marble. I definitely wanted to have a double vanity and after searching for awhile I found the perfect one. It’s a dark gray with a tan/white/gray granite top. It’s stunning. The fixtures are all oil rubbed bronze and they all have a slightly industrial feel to them. As the final “cherry on top” we did some open shelving too. You’ll see similar shelving throughout the whole house and I love the custom feel it gives this home. And lastly, but definitely not least, I found the green, rustic towel hooks at an antique shop at the beach. I’m not for sure if they were originally towel hooks, but that’s what they are now. I certainly think they add some spunk and personality to the space!

Alright, enough talking… here are the after pictures!

Hopefully potential buyers will think it turned out as good as I think it did! What do you guys think about it?!

XOXO, Megan
